As a reminder , our CVUSC YOUTH operations will be closed this weekend…and our clubhouse will be closed from 4pm Friday, October 9th to Tuesday October 13th. 

Please check league schedules for any adult games. Currently we do not have any home games scheduled. 

Your CVUSC TEAM will be taking the weekend to be with their families and to thankful, including reflections of what a wonderful and special community our UNITED club is! 

We encourage families and players to express their gratitude to coaches, managers, and all of our club volunteers…as they spend so much time and consideration in their duties with our club, and for your children. 

Likewise, our club wide team (staff, coaches, managers, volunteers) are thankful for your families, and for your children! On any given day our players bring moments of triumph, humour, honour, and even role modeling, to the lives of many adult around them. 

Your family, your children…are a gift to us.

To our Coaches and Managers….

It sounds trite…but very sincerely…we want you to know that we see you.

We see coaches spending time planning practices, considering challenges, seeking support, and conducting their roles we so much pride. We want you to know.. your work matters and is making a difference in the lives of so many youth players. We know that supporting the development and character of children is much more than a scoreboard. We know that guiding youth (in physical skills, social skills, and in character!), and promoting the incredible benefits of sport and recreation…is not always easy.

But we have proven science: this is how to build better communities….with better people.

Managers… we see your magic too! It is inspiring when we see the pleasure and patience of which you conduct yourself. How you welcome new players to our community, to our game, and often time to our province and/or country for new-comer families is incredible ! Soccer is… an universal community and you are our UNITED ambassadors!  Thank you for organizing teams, and for insuring that families have all of the information they need to get their children on the pitch! Thank you for answering emails after a long day at work. Thank you for considering the varied nuances that every child and family brings to each team…with one goal in mind…to create opportunity for children.

We are also thankful for those who have worked hard to build this UNITED community in days of past…from iconic CLUB founders, to former employees (and their support networks and families), to those who fundraised, planned, coached, volunteered and gave back….We promise we will uphold the community and vision of which you worked hard to create.

We equally covet those volunteers and club leaders in-present, who are building something very special…within their teams….and in organizing, governance, and  supporting club staff. Your time and dispositions are inspiring, and so appreciated.

You are the grounding of which this community thrives under.

And finally to our adult players… from U21 Men’s and Men’s Teams to Women’s and Shooters, and Masters… Thank you.

We watch you balance careers, school, maybe families, and hectic lives to play the game you love. We see the organization and commitment it takes…and the challenges too…We want you to know that your service is inspiring too!

Finally… we should acknowledge and thank the hard work, time, passion and commitment of your CVUSC TEAM staff. There is no doubt that this is ‘not just a job’ for this team. Four CVUSC team members plan, lead, and organize over 4500 registrations and over 15 programs,  annually, They network with over 200 coaches, over 30 Managers, almost 3,000 parents/caregivers, over 15 community partners and vendors, and the various departments involved in such. The tackle decisions that are challenging and sometimes difficult…and not always popular… they consult, research, plan…all the while driven by serving a community they adore,  and promoting the benefits and love of the game!
