Spring 2025 VYSL Recreation Program - Opens Nov 2!
2025 Spring Soccer registration opens Nov 2nd. Games played starting Saturday April 5 to June 7. Training starts the week of April 1 and runs through to the end of the season. See the schedule below.
Spaces will be limited in some divisions, we encourage you to register early!! Deadline to register Saturday March 15 First time registrants must show a birth certificate.
After March 15, if space allows, fees will be increased $25/player. A waiting list will be started once divisions are full. CVUSC Refund policy can be found here.
*Please Note: In our ongoing commitment to ensuring a fair and enriching soccer experience for every player, CVUSC staff and VYSL division managers will be refraining from accommodating team and/or coach requests. The intricacies involved in managing these requests in the lead-up to each season pose logistical challenges that exceed our current capacity. We understand the family logistics required to get players to and from events. All training and games are at the same locations for players in the same age group, allowing for carpooling opportunities. Our belief in the importance of players gaining exposure to different coaching styles and interacting with diverse peer groups underscores this decision. We view this as an invaluable opportunity for personal and athletic growth within our soccer community. Your understanding and support are sincerely appreciated as we strive to create an inclusive environment for all participants.
Spring 2025 Valley Youth Soccer League
Game location/time: Games will be played anytime between 9am and 4pm, fields TBD. See the schedule below.
Games will be played Saturdays with one practice scheduled during the week for all age groups U6 and older. Tots U4 have an 45 minute 4 activity station focused on Physical Literacy and introducing the soccer ball to the player. Tots is only offered in the Spring YVSL. Bambinos U5 have a combined Skill & Play Session Per Week (30 mins Skills & 30 mins Game Play) on Saturdays.
Saturday game days April 5, 12, 26 (no soccer April 19). May 3, 10, 24, 31 (no soccer May 17) and June 7.
The deadline to register for the early bird fee is March 8. Spaces are limited so please register early. Once divisions fill up we can only place players on teams if space allows.

Practices: U6 through U11 will have a weekly one hour Skill Centre practice. If you are interested in coaching, please check the appropriate box on your registration.
U5 to U11 Players in the VYSL will train using Canada Soccer’s Preferred Training Method (PTM) using mass practice on one field. PTM training players will partake in a fun, engaging and developmentally appropriate activities designed to foster a love for soccer, a love for the ball, whilst at the same time improving key motor skills.
PTM training will be at a dedicated field, on a set night and time. In addition to the Saturday game day, Micro’s through U11 Junior’s will be training weekly. All delivered in a mass practice, station style & vibrant training environment. Volunteer Coach lead delivering session plans developed by CV United’s Technical Director.
U12 to U14 Gametime! Saturdays teams participate in 6v6 game play and Jamboree events. Training, Players participate in small-sided games and skill building activities, led by certified volunteer coaches supported by CVUSC Technical Team and United Development Program Coaches. Training session start with a warm up and a 15-minute game, which givers players the freedom to play. Players then will take part in skill building and fun game activities to develop their core skills. The sessions end with a final small-sided games where players will be given the freedom to experiment and freedom to try new skill learnt during the activity.
Equipment: Cleats, soccer socks & shin pads are mandatory. Jerseys will be provided to all players. Bambinos to U8 players will also be provided with socks and a ball thanks to our sponsor Tim Horton's.
